Peter Sobotta was born in Zabrze, Poland at the 11. January 1987. In 1990 he and his family moved to Balingen, Germany.
Peter started training at the age of 6. His way through the world of fighting took him through some different martial arts. Starting with Judo, he continued with Taekwondo and Kickboxing. Always seeking for a bigger challenge Peter began training Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. "The multiplicity and the intelligence of the techniques are amazing!" Soon he participated in MMA, BJJ and Submission Wrestling.

On September 13th 2008 Peter fought at the popular, polish MMA Show "KSW", where he defeated Abdul Kerim Abzailow via TKO in the 3rd Round.
During his 22nd birthdayparty on 11th January 2009 he obtained the best present in his life, as his managers upacked a UCF contract!
Peter Sobotta´s first fight was on 13th June 2009 at UFC 99 in Cologne. He fought against British kickboxer Paul “Relentless” Taylor.
In his second UFC bout Peter fought against the Ultimate Season 9 Winner James Wilks. After a very good and close fight, the judges scored the fight for Wilks. A lot of observers saw Peter winning. In his thirs fight inside the octagon Peter lost a hard fought fight by decision to Ultimate Fighter Winner Amir Sadollah. After this fight Peter left the UFC. Now he trains hard to improve and get more experience. His goal is to return to the UFC in 2-3 years.
